Cancer -- New Natural Remedies!
Induction of Apoptosis to Prevent and Kill Cancer
All of the cells in our body are subject to a process called
"apoptosis" -- programmed cell death. It is supposed to be
triggered if the cell malfunctions, but as it's controlled
by the cell's mitochondria (energy organelles), and these
are largely shut down in cancer cells, cancer usually escapes
apoptosis.
A few years ago, a simple substance -- dichloroacetate --
was found by a researcher in a Canadian university which
restores apoptosis in cancer cells. He transplanted about
ten human cancers into animals, gave them dichloroacetate,
and it killed all the tumors without harming the animals.
It's a simple substance, just vinegar acid with two chlorine
atoms added. It's the most effective and harmless anticancer
treatment ever found. However, since the substance is simple
and has been in use for years for other purposes, it isn't
patentable, so pharmaceutical companies have no interest in it.
You can buy it from various people on the Internet if the FDA
has not shut them down. Look for "DCA" or "dichloroacetate".
DCA has a small degree of toxicity, which is discussed on the
various websites. It can be reduced by taking certain nutrients.
There are also some nutrients that have been found which
themselves restore apoptosis in cancer cells, and these can be
bought in health-food stores. Unlike DCA, they have no toxicity.

U-Fucoidan/Modifilan/Laminaria japonica/konbu

It's probably most effective to use several (or all) of them
to fight cancer. However, there could be a possibility of
activating apoptosis in non-cancerous cells by doing that,
since they are not known to be non-toxic when used in combination.
I found this in a medical dictionary:
"When apoptosis works overly well, it kills too many cells and inflicts grave
tissue damage. This is the case in strokes and neurodegenerative
disorders such as Alzheimer, Huntington and Parkinson diseases."
Another natural cancer remedy is graviola fruit. However, the
ingestion of it for a long time is associated with a type of
Parkinsonism. One of the substances in it fights cancer by

On the other hand,
Co-Q10 is already found in every cell of the body (and diminishes
as we get older, so needs supplementation), while
curcumin (curry spice), ellagic acid (from pomegranates
and other fruits), methylselenocysteine (found in garlic
and broccoli), grapeseed extract, and capsaicin (the "hot" substance in red pepper),
are all
foods.
So, taking 3 or 4 of the six, chosen on a rotating basis,
and in the recommended amounts, to prevent a recurrence
of cancer (metastasis) after surgery, may be a lot safer
than not doing so, and may well be less toxic than the cancer
chemotherapy drugs used for the same purpose. Vitamin D-3,
about 10,000 IU/day, is also very good for cancer prevention.
Personally, I've been taking 400 mg. of Co-Q10, 75 mg. of grapeseed
extract, and 400-600ug (I'm a big guy) of selenium as
methylselenocysteine for years, for general health reasons.
Thus, proceed at your own risk. Someone should feed large amounts
of all of these substances simultaneously to some rats for a while
and then check them for loss of brain or other cells.
The information I have on these substances needs more organizing,
but since I promised some people in a hospital waiting-room that
I'd put it on my website, here is the current (messy)
state of my Firefox bookmarks on the subject. I'll be fixing
this up and adding to it in the future.
